Bobby Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner

I am a fan of Bobby Brown Gel eyeliners. I currently use Ivy Shimmer (above) and Forrest Shimmer. I get great compliments when I use them. They add a extra spark to the eyes. I have fun wearing these eyeliners because they aren't just an ordinary black or brown eyeliner and are long wearing for going out. I recommend almost all of their colors because they are highly pigmented and add great detail to the eye. Instead of wearing black I will use Ivy for the same dark effect but up close its a deep green shimmer.

Bobby Brown leather case oil blotters
I use oil blotters year around and especially during the summer. I bought this leather case of oil blotters for about $2o. The oil botter refills are really inexpensive, about $6 for one hundred. The quality of the oil blotters are decent because they are large in size but the texture of the blotter reminds me of toilet seat covers. By the way in emergencies toilet seat covers will do the job if you don't have any blotters. I really like the case so I keep refilling. The case is nice and durable and a perfect fit in my clutch when caring a compact is too big. I've used the Clean and clear oil blotters and they work great but they are too small in size and only come with 50. Shiseido has great ones but they are more expensive, about $16.

MAC Pigment samples

Pink bronze, Apricot Pink, Scatterays,
Gold Stroke, Circa Plum

I bought these MAC pigment samples for $1.79 ea. I like buying these sample sizes because there is enough product for me to use more then just a couple of times, 1/4 of a teaspoon to be exact. They go a long way for me because I mix & blend them with eachother and other shadows. One of the good things about these samples is that instead of buying one fullsize pigment you can get a variety of colors for the same prices or less. This website has a huge selection of pigments to choose from plus they also sell MAC Glitter Brillants samples. I spent about $13 for these five pigments, including taxes and shipping. I don't see myself buying a full size pigment unless it's one I can't live without. Pigments can be used wet or dry and you really don't use a lot of product at a time. Having a full size products must last years because these will last me a while.

Erase Paste Concealor Review

I wanted to get this product from Benefit because I like the concept of this concealer, it conceals and brightens. It's a creamy concealer but in my opinion this concealer is too creamy. You will have to set it with a power because it's so creamy that it is easily smears. The coverage is decent but I find myself having to reapply it through out the day to achieve a brightening effect. I prefer the mac studio concealer coverage better. A great combination would be of the two together because Mac has a high coverage while the Benefit has a moisturising coverage. I will be trying the Bobby brown creamy counselor and comparing it to these. I probably will not be repurchasing it.

Mac's Naked Honey Skin Salve

This product is Mac's Naked Honey Salve and is one of my favorite things to carry in my purse. It has a sweet honey suckle scent that I love to twist open and sniff because it smells so yummy. It could be a sugar fix for a moment because it smells so sweet. This hydrating salve is multi-purpose and I use it for my cuticles at on my hands and feel, for my lips and elbows. You want to put this stuff everywhere because it smells and taste so good : ). There is a lot of product in this canister so it will be with me for a while. I think this smells better then the perfumes and lotion.

Chance Perfume by Chanel in Fresh

This is my signature scent and I will always keep this around. I fell in love with this scent in the Fall of 07 and haven't got tired of it. It is a light green colored perfume in a glass bottle that has a silver rim to it. I always get compliments and it will be forever and always my favorite! There was a little bit of confusion about Chance by Chanel because it came out with different versions. The one that I have is the latest one. The others two versions are warmer scents.

My Hair Products

Above are two types of Joico shampoo and conditioner products: K-PAK Treatment and Color Endure. I want to start out with Joico's color endure because I normally feel like you cant go wrong with any Joico product because the usually smell good and work great but with this shampoo and conditioner I was disappointed. They smelled good like normally but they didn't work great. I usually buy color treated products because they work well with colored, dry and stressed hair but these products didn't make my hair soft after using. The shampoo didn't lather much which made it hard to spread throughout the hair and the conditioner didn't leave my hair as soft as expected so I stopped using them when I came across the K-PAC treatment Shampoo and Conditioner. Now these are by far my favorite. They have a different type of scent, its more warm as opposed to the bubbly/fruity scent from the Color Endured. The K-PAC Treatment line is how I was introduced to Joico and continue to be satisfied with their products. My hair feels 10x better then it used to when using the color endure line. It lathers well and keeps my hair feeling and looking healthy. These products last me about 4-5 months because I buy them in the largest size.
*If you had a different experience with the color endured line then I did and enjoyed them let me know because normally all Joico products work well.

All of my hair products have to have a great scent to them because great smelling hair is a statement when your hugging people. CHI's silk infusion has a strong scent that lasts through blow drying and straightening. I use this serum particularly for my tips and the face framing parts of my hair. I use the leave-in conditioner below for the bulk of my hair. I highly recommend all these products for great smelling hair!

This is a leave-in conditioner that I use for bulk of my hair. I use my CHI infusion serum for my tips. This works great for everyday use because it leaves your hair soft, shinny and strong with a nice scent.

I really like this hairspray when I am getting ready to go out on the town or when Im going out on a date because it has a really good clean smell that lingers in your hair all night. I catch myself grabbing my hair to smell it when Im wearing it and it perks me up. It is Paul Mitchell's-Super Clean Spray in Flexible hold. It's my hair perfume cause I style my hair and then spray all over without having a stiff look, hair is very manageable after spraying.

Book Reviews

I wanted to put this lovely book up because it's my really pretty bible. It's today's new international version called True identity, a bible for women. This cover and the way the print is inside just makes me want to open it and read. It's a great bible because it has additional stories and testimonies geared toward women.

I got this book in New York on Bleecker St. in West Village while on the S&TC tour. It's across the street from The Magnolia Bakery, where Sarah Jessica Parker ate a cupcake while shooting a scene for S&TC. The cupcakes are creamy and mouth drenching, you get a free one on the tour. The book store is called the Biography Bookshop and it only cost $8.95 for this hardcover book. I prefer to only buy hardcover books because they feel firm while reading and they last longer.

I have not read this book but the way this book is put together is beautiful. It's a combination of a picture and literature biography book, which makes it fun to go through. There are classic pictures of Dior's muses: Ava Gardner, Sophia Loren and others. I'm sure this book is fascinating brain candy for the soul ; ).

I also go this book at the Bookstore in NY for the same price. As my aunt put it New York is Book Country so the city has plenty of books at their discretion and thats why they were sold at a great price.
This book was interesting to me because I like writing/journalism, fashion, and event coordinating. I was able to learn about the magazine industry and how a women like Anna Wintor made it to the top of the industry. She didn't graduate high school but always has a passion for fashion growing up in Europe and had a well connected father who was a journalist and ran a newspaper. The combination of strive, connection and passion is how come Wintor is where she is at today. She is a very interesting person with power and an icy personality.

Candace Bushnell ring a bell? Her first book was Sex and the City (S&TC) which was the basis for the TV show Sex and the City. I am an absolute fan of S&TC, Sarah Jessica Parker, New York and Big! The movie is an all time favorite of mine and I can't wait for S&TC II - Get Carried Away. I have a New York blog if you want to read more about S&TC and the tour I took when I was in New York.
But more about One Fifth Avenue (Bushnell's fifth book), the cover is pretty perfect! I wouldn't change a thing about it. The characters in the book are all ages which leaves a wide scope of people who would be interested. It's a great summer book to read out by the pool. The most interesting aspect of this book is that it introduces you to New York real estate. The landmark buildings protected to preserve it's look is a big deal in New York. One Fifth Avenue, correctly named in real life is Fifth Avenue. It's the place to live if you have or want status in NYC. Everyone wants to live on One Fifth, where old money has been for generations and where new money wants to move in. These buildings really have doormen, people really tip them, only people with familiar faces are welcome. It's like an exclusive club to be a part of.
